Meet Dr. Gold
Dr. Steven I. Gold is a graduate of Colgate University and received the DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He served in the US Army Dental Corps for 2 years and received a Certificate in Periodontics from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 1972. Dr Gold is a Diplomate of the American Bd. of Periodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He served as President of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists and was recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus by the Columbia University Periodontal Alumni in 1998.
Dr Gold is a Clinical Professor of Dentistry at Columbia and an Adjunct Professor of Dental Medicine at New York College of Medicine. He has lectured both nationally and internationally and is the author of more than 25 scientific papers. He was awarded the Scopp Fellowship by the Northeastern Society of Periodontists in 2006. He is the author of a quarterly column on the history of dentistry in the American College of Dentists New York Section Newsletter.
Dr. Gold resides with his wife Marion in Manhattan. They have a son and daughter Geoffrey (wife Vicki) and Lauren (spouse Bill) and are the proud grandparents of; Gabrielle, Nathan, Jason and Alexa. His leisure time is spent painting watercolors, fly fishing and reading.
