Quite often, premature tooth loss or trauma results in destruction of healthy gum and bone tissue. If this occurs in a cosmetic area the results can be devastating. We have the ability to graft gum tissue and/or bone in an effort to restore a normal appearance. This is typically done in conjunction with your restorative dentist.
Careful management of extraction sockets after tooth extraction prevents unsightly bone loss and a better cosmetic outcome of tooth replacement. A combination of bone grafting and/or guided tissue regeneration is required here.
